How we study climate change at the poles and what ice sheet change means for New Jersey

March 07, 2020

Talk, Long Valley Middle School, Long Valley, NJ, USA

Graciously hosted by Dave Jones, I spoke to over 100 7th graders at the Long Valley Middle School about how the ice sheet are changing, demonstrated glacier flow using Glacier Goo with flow markers in both idealized and realistic landforms, and fielded dozens of questions ranging from “How can we help?” to “How do you go to the bathroom in Antarctica?”. Very successful and hope to be back with Dave Jones and other classes at LVMS in the future!
